Quynh T. Dang, M.D.

Dr. DangAlthough I was born in South Vietnam, my family and I immigrated to the United States when I was 6 years old, so I was fortunate to grow up in Shreveport. After graduating from Southwood High School and LSU-Shreveport (with a degree mathematics), I was accepted to medical school at LSU Medical Center-Shreveport, now LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport. I completed an internship and residency at East Carolina University/Pitt County Memorial Hospital in North Carolina. Upon graduating from my residency, I chose to return to home to practice pediatrics. It has been my pleasure to serve children of Shreveport-Bossier since 1997. I am certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

In the field of medicine, there is a constant struggle to prolong and enrich life. I went into medicine because I wanted to be a part of this effort and chose pediatrics because of my love of children. As the fourth in a family of eight children, I have experienced everything from germs and bruises to sibling rivalry and compromises. Having my own children has further expanded my life experience. I am happily married to Thach, and we have three children, a set of twin girls and one boy. While balancing a full career in medicine with family is hard, I would not change my vocation. I believe that my life experience, my training, and my family have prepared me for the practice of pediatrics. I hope to have an opportunity to be in a partnership with you to care for the health and well-being of your children.
